After surgery, whether it's after surgery or a muscle strain physiotherapy plays a key role in helping animals regain strength, mobility, and comfort.

Restoring functional movement, reduces discomfort, and enhances overall flexibility.

By addressing muscle imbalances, improving circulation, and increasing range of motion, physiotherapy supports your dog’s recovery journey, helping them get back to their best with confidence and comfort.

Moss has hypermobility and Luxating Patella and has made fantastic progress with targeted strengthening exercises. Thanks to her dedication to home exercises and hydrotherapy, her vet was unable to forcibly luxate the patella! Well done Moss and her owners!

About Kirsten

My love for dogs and horses, and my passion for their health and happiness has been with me since I was young. Growing up surrounded by horses and a family with working Springer Spaniels, I was drawn to caring for animals from the start. Before completing my veterinary physiotherapy degree, I earned several animal health qualifications, each one deepening my knowledge and commitment to the animals I love.

The Canine Rehabilitation Clinic is truly my pride and joy. It’s a dedicated, welcoming space designed just for canine physiotherapy and massage therapy—a project my dad and I built together! This clinic holds a special place in my heart and represents my commitment to providing top-quality, personalized care for each animal who walks through the door.

Above all, I love helping pet owners understand the benefits of physiotherapy, sharing simple tips that can make a big difference in their pets' well-being. My approach combines effective treatment techniques with a focus on each pet’s emotional needs, so they feel happy and supported every step of the way

Reviews from Owners

Kirsten has been helping Flip Flop recover from TPLO’s on both back legs. An excitable spaniel is never easy but she loves going there. Kirsten is so gentle, calm and professional with her. The space is perfect and very inviting with a lovely huge soft mat. Kirsten has put together some great exercise packages together which I can do at home and she is always on hand if I have any problems. Flip Flop has taken very well to the laser therapy, massage and range of movement element of her treatment. I have every confidence that she is in the safest of hands and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her skills.

Kirsten has gone totally above and beyond to help our dog with extreme hypermobility. Couldn’t recommend her enough, she really knows her stuff!

Why choose physiotherapy

Canine and equine physiotherapy is quickly becoming an additional option for a range of injuries and conditions

Physiotherapy for humans, is proven to be a drug free alternative to maintaining joint and muscle heath, and this is the same for dogs.

My veterinary physiotherapy services aim to promote optimal musculoskeletal health in all species. Holding a deep understanding of anatomy and evidence-based research, I apply advanced manual techniques to enhance the body's natural healing processes and mobilize tissues effectively.

In addition to our manual therapies, I offer a wide range of electrotherapies tailored to suit each tissue type. I also design specific rehabilitation programs to meet the unique needs of every patient.

Many specific musculoskeletal and neurological conditions can significantly benefit from physiotherapy. By working closely with veterinarians, we strive for optimal recovery and an improved quality of life for both domestic pets and performance animals.
