Equine Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Maintenance and Massage Therapy

Physiotherapy is not solely reserved for elite competition horses; it benefits horses of all disciplines and abilities. Horses, like humans, can subtly compensate for pain by adjusting their posture and gait. As a responsible owner, it's important to recognise behavioral signs that may indicate discomfort and pain in your horse.

Massage and physio should not just be the back lady. The whole body needs to be taken into consideration.

By addressing specific conditions and injuries, physiotherapy promotes efficient rehabilitation and accelerates recovery time. However, it also focuses on proactive care to maintain overall muscle balance and prevent future issues.

  2. Gait Analysis: Looking at how the horse moves, walking, trotting, backing up and circles

  3. Palpation: Muscle palpation and Joint range of motion assessment

Part 2: Treatment

  1. Treatment: Massage Therapy, these hands-on techniques encompass a variety of methods, including massage, joint mobilisations, myofascial release and Advance Stretching. Electrotherapies are also used when needed to aid in the up regulation of the cells

  2. Exercise advice and recommendations

Honestly couldn’t recommend her enough - was amazing with my horse - Listened to all my worries, is very friendly and you get a lot for your money! Gave me pages of information of exercises/massages for you to do to help! And Kirsten is always over a message if you need advice! Had made a huge difference to not just my horse but my confidence riding my horse as she’s so much more rideable and happy!

What Happens When Booking?

When you contact us to book a session, we’ll ask a few questions to understand your concerns and your horse's needs. Once we have all the details, we’ll schedule a convenient date for your session.

If your horse has a medical condition, we’ll need a signed form from your vet to ensure we have all the necessary information. Don’t worry, I’ve made this process simple! Here’s how it works:

  1. I'll fill out the form with your details and email it to you.

  2. You can then forward the form to your vet (most commonly via email).

  3. As long as the form is completed and returned before your session, we’re good to go!
