Kirsten Smith
BSc (Hons) VetPhys, NAVP registered
Hello, I'm Kirsten a Veterinary Physiotherapist based in Cornwall.
I set up Kirsten Smith Vet Physio in August 2023 and i am a fully qualified, insured and registered with National Associations of Veterinary Physiotherapy. Focusing on canine physiotherapy and massage therapy. But also do equine too!
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy qualifying in 2023. A Fdsc degree of science in Equine Performance completed at Hartpury college in 2018, plus as my Animal Nursing Assistance certificate completed 2019.
I am also super excited to have the canine rehabilitation clinic! A specialised clinic for all things canine physiotherapy and massage therapy. Especially personal to me as me and my dad built this!
During my degree I carried out some research into gundogs. How retrieving a weighted dummy affects canine forelimb stride length and head height angle. You can view this at the bottom on the page.
I have a keen interest in educating the doggy owner on aspects of their dogs life they may not be aware of. Providing owners with simple but highly effective things they can implement
I know some pet owners may not know if physiotherapy (physical rehabilitation and massage) is right for their dog or horse. You may not know if it can help, or if I can help you with the current issue. I would love to have a chat with you to learn more about your pup!
